Teledyne LeCroy announced a long-term equipment loan of electrical and protocol test equipment to the PCI-SIG® to speed time to market of PCI Express® (PCIe) products developed by the 900+ participating industry companies.
PCI-SIG member companies can test their devices for PCI Express specification compliance and for inclusion on the Integrators List at PCI-SIG compliance workshops using approved test equipment. But test equipment availability at compliance workshops was impacting the throughput of test cases, resulting in delays in the release to market of higher speed PCIe devices and technologies, and inhibiting market adoption of improved data transfer speeds in personal computers, internet servers, and data storage devices.
Teledyne LeCroy provided to the PCI-SIG additional compliance suite test equipment for PCIe electrical and protocol compliance. The equipment includes a 36 GHz LabMaster oscilloscope, Summit Z58 protocol exerciser/analyzer, PXP-500A PCIe test platform and a WavePulser® 40iX high-speed interconnect analyzer. “We’re very pleased to provide the full range of electrical and protocol test equipment for the PCI-SIG’s compliance test suite, which should help member companies bring their products to market faster” said Kevin Prusso, VP and GM for Teledyne LeCroy.
“Teledyne LeCroy is a longtime supporter of PCIe technology and member of PCI-SIG,” said Al Yanes, PCI-SIG President, and Chairperson. “Their full range supply of PCIe physical layer and protocol test equipment will be a helpful addition to future PCI-SIG compliance workshops and enable further industry adoption of PCIe technology.”
