Samtec, Inc., the service leader in the connector industry, will be demonstrating next-generation, high-performance copper and optical interconnect solutions at the upcoming Supercomputing 2024 (SC24), the international conference for high-performance computing (HPC), networking, storage, and analysis. Held in Atlanta, Ga, (November 17-21, 2024), SC24 attracts engineers and scientific professionals working in diverse HPC areas including artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and sustainability.

Samtec’s global director of technical marketing, Matt Burns, will be presenting “Redefining High-Performance Computing Topologies with Mid-Board Optical Transceivers” in the Exhibitor Forum (B206) on Thursday, November 21at 1:30PM.

In Booth #1125 on the show floor, Samtec will display new high-performance connector products and technologies, including:

  • Si-Fly® HD 224 Gbps PAM4 Flyover® cable system
  • AcceleRate® HP 112 Gbps PAM4 systems
  • NovaRay® and NovaRay I/O high density, 112 Gbps products
  • ExaMAX® high-speed backplane cable system
  • FireFly™ active optical cable products
  • Bulls Eye® BE90A 90 GHz test system
  • Halo™ next-gen 56 Gbps optical system

Live product demonstrations will include 224 Gbps PAM4 cable solutions, PCIe 7.0, 56 Gbps PAM4 mid-board optical transceivers, CXL 3.0/PCIe 6.0, DDR applications, and 112 Gbps PAM4 Flyover OSFP front panel solutions.

Also at SC24, Samtec will display the new FireFly OCP OAI EXP Module, which features 16 FireFly optical transceivers with 1.6 Gbps aggregate throughput. The FireFly module is protocol agnostic, including support for Ethernet, PCIe, and CXL over optics. It typically requires half the power of MSA style optics, and a full OAI system design could accommodate up to 8 FireFly OAI EXP Module cards.
